Three piece self amplified speaker set features two compact satellite speakers and  a high quality powered subwoofer.  The volume control is built-in to one of the satellites for easy access, with the bass level adjustment and pass-through headphone jack built-in to the powered subwoofer.  Each speaker is made of high density injection molded plastic and the subwoofer features molded internal ribs for structural reinforcement.

Sound Quality: These speakers feature a number of distortion reducing measures that allow them to produce rich, uncolored sound that is not normally associated with multimedia/computer speakers.  The high density plastic material cuts down on cabinet flex to eliminate resonances.  The molded shape is formed without parallel surfaces to avoid standing waves.  Similarly, the subwoofer enclosure is made of molded plastic and does not have parallel surfaces.  The internal reinforcements in the subwoofer allow it to stand up to the high pressure generated during high volume operation and increases the strength and stiffness to reduce distortion due to cabinet flex.  These favorable attributes all add up to a great sounding package and even when driven to distortion, the system clips softly. Efficiency: Each speaker enclosure consists of a one-piece injection molded plastic cabinet that is completely air tight and is extremely stiff.  The lack of cabinet flex and resonance not only improves sound quality, but reduces energy loss which increases efficiency.  The subwoofer features a tuned, base reflex design to maximize sound pressure levels without considerably sacrificing sound quality.  These features come together to provide the maximum level of sound quality and efficiency that can be packed into such a compact and affordable speaker set.  Ergonomic Design: Each of the design features of this speaker set aim to provide good sound quality and high efficiency in an extremely compact size.  This allows unobtrusive placement around your workspace without taking up more valuable real estate than necessary.  The subwoofer’s high efficiency design allows full, rich bass without taking up much space.  It is compact enough to be placed on your desk, or can be tucked away where it is out of sight.
